Denise Ferguson’s passion for all things beauty began at an early age. Born on the south side of Chicago, she first developed a love for makeup after watching her sister experiment through trial and error, which then led to their mother to take the girls to learn how to apply makeup professionally. From that point on, she was hooked—after this introduction to the world of professional makeup artistry, Denise felt inspired to pursue a career in it for herself.

As an adult, Denise attended Illinois State University as a major in Communications and a minor in Art, during which she gained valuable knowledge of the business side of the beauty industry in addition to utilizing her art skills to do special FX work in the University’s theatre department. She also secured an internship with Fashion Chicago Magazine as a beauty editor, working closely with brands such as Makeup Forever and Lush Cosmetics.

After graduation, Denise went on to work for MAC Cosmetics in addition to working as a freelance artist, growing in passion and experience through her work with a variety of different clients all over the city of Chicago and beyond. Denise has collaborated and expanded her artistry into commercials, editorial photo shoots, and feature film projects throughout the city of Chicago.

Today Denise now counts Anastasia Beverly Hills, Big Fish Entertainment, VH1, Mali Magic’s Agency, Laudi Vidni, Lambert, and Anaono as her growing list of collaborations. Lastly, considers celebrities like Tana Mongeau and Kari Faux as her growing list of clients.
